The EUROPAST project invites you to a presentation by Ignė Rasickaitė and Rūta Vyšniauskaitė on the public history of the Vilnius region based on their research on the region's museums. The event is part of the cycle of lectures for young researchers organised by the Statehood Centre of Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania.
During the event, the researchers will answer the following questions: What is public history? How many museums are there in the Vilnius Region, and what kind of museums are they? What kind of historical narrative prevails in these museums? What is the museum's relationship with society? Why is the term "terra incognita" used in this context?
